How to use ELECTRE to solve water and energy management problems ?

ELECTRE is widely used to solve problems from water and energy management. This tutorial shows how to work with ELECTRE method such that the readers can use this method to solve water related decision making problems. ELECTRE  is an outranking method where options outranked each other and the best option remains. Here both concordance and discordance index was used to find the outranking criteria. For application of ELECTRE in Water Resource Management you may refer to the following publications : Raju, K.S., Duckstein, L. & Arondel, C. Multicriterion Analysis for Sustainable Water Resources Planning: A Case Study in Spain. Smart use of Water and Energy in domestic households

How to optimally utilize the water supplied to domestic households such that both water and energy used in running the supply pumps can be conserved. The proposed "sensor based network of sub-tanks" can help to reduce the wastage of water and the introduction of purifier at the inlet to the pump will save energy which is otherwise wasted due to core losses of the pump... How to take a decision with the help of PROMETHEE Outranking MCDM technique ?

An introduction on PROMETHEE for the students is provided. This PPT will try to explain the steps required to make a decision with the help of the method. Promethee is an outranking MCDM method which is generally used for outranking one option from the other. Click here to view the tutorial and give some feedback. Introduction to Solar Energy Part 2

The second part of the introduction to solar energy.Suitable for post grad students.Define and describes about Fermi Energy Level,Photovoltaic Effect,Forward and reverse bias,p-n junction etc. Introduction to Solar Energy Part 2 from Mrinmoy Majumder Mrinmoy Majumder,  Founding and Honorary Editor  Innovate for Sustainability  http://www.baipatra.ws

An introduction to Solar Energy : Part One

"The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has planned a detailed trajectory so as to meet the target of 100 GW by 2022. A capacity of 23.12 GW was installed up to July 2018. Projects of around 10 GW are under implementation and tenders for additional 24.4 GW are issued."( EleTimes,2018 ).  Keeping in view of the updates received from MNRE and many other govt resource it can be concluded that solar energy can induce stiff competition to the fossil fuel based electrical energy resources in the race to become the number one source of energy. In coming days the significance of solar energy is going to be aggravated. As a result, I will like to introduce the basic concepts of solar energy in a PPT presentation. The presentation consist of the basic concepts of sun to electricity including but not limited to Fermilevel, valence and conduction band, energy level etc. which will be introduced to provide quality information to the interested and already acting as "stake hold
