Calculator for some Design Parameters of Pumped Storage Plants

A new software to calculate Specific Speed,Submergence and Overall Efficiency of Pumped Storage Plant was developed recently.

Some important design parameters for Pumped Storage Plants can be Calculated with the help of this software.

The software can help students,researchers,engineers to calculate the specific speed,submergence,Potential of Cavitation in the flow and efficiency of pumped storage plants along with the L/h ratio to find the economic requirements of the plant with the help of Normal Speed,Generation and Pump Efficiency along with gross head. 

This calculator can calculate :

Specific Speed
Submergence
Cavitation Potential
Frictional Head Loss
Overall Efficiency of Pumped Storage Plants

If the following inputs are given :

Speed,Gross Head and Discharge for Specific Speed
Specific Speed,Gross Head for Submergence
Barometric Head,Suction Head,Effective Head for Cavitation Potential
Length of the Tail Race,Effective Head,Friction Factor for Frictional Head Loss
Pump and Generation Efficiency along with Gross Head and k for Overall Efficiency of Pumped Storage Plants
