Validate Your Simulations

Model estimation is needed to be compared with the observed data to validate a model.Generally Mean Square Error,Absolute Error,Correlation,Covariance,Standard Deviation,Variance and Efficiency are used to measure the difference between observed and model estimated data set to find the overall validity of the developed model.

Helping to Validate Simulations was developed to calculate performance validation criterias(mean square error, actual error etc.).

The limitation of the software is given below :

1.Data set Amount maximum of 250

2.You can not copy-paste your data into the software. You must enter each values of your data set into the data entry window.

3.The software is a html page and it will open if you have IE or Firefox. But the problem lies in its size. Its little bit heavy and may take time to open.

But if you think that calculating these formulas again and again is more boring than the above 3 limitations, download the software by visiting HtVS(or Right Click and select Save Target As).Enter your observed and predicted data in the fields under the column Observed and Predicted.Click Decide button to get the result The result will be given by the last value of the bold titled columns.

Smart use of Water and Energy in domestic households

How to optimally utilize the water supplied to domestic households such that both water and energy used in running the supply pumps can be conserved. The proposed "sensor based network of sub-tanks" can help to reduce the wastage of water and the introduction of purifier at the inlet to the pump will save energy which is otherwise wasted due to core losses of the pump... Top Five most used decision making techniques for identification of best option (if you have many available alternatives)

Decision support systems are used to assist a decision maker to select the best available solution from a set of solutions. The problem with the existing method of selection lies in the fact that the choice may change with the change in the decision maker as the entire process is subjective and does not follow any specific operating procedures to execute the selection. In any DSS which are used to manage a water or energy based systems will require to consider multiple factors before selecting a one single option from the set of numerous other options to solve a single problem. As for example if we want to select the best location for installation of a Hydro-power plant and we have three different locations available for carrying out the desired operation then we have to look for specific factors based on which we can identify the best location. Now these factors are required to be evaluated for each location to come into conclusion.Again not all the factors are equally importan
