Validate Your Simulations

Model estimation is needed to be compared with the observed data to validate a model.Generally Mean Square Error,Absolute Error,Correlation,Covariance,Standard Deviation,Variance and Efficiency are used to measure the difference between observed and model estimated data set to find the overall validity of the developed model.

Helping to Validate Simulations was developed to calculate performance validation criterias(mean square error, actual error etc.).

The limitation of the software is given below :

1.Data set Amount maximum of 250

2.You can not copy-paste your data into the software. You must enter each values of your data set into the data entry window.

3.The software is a html page and it will open if you have IE or Firefox. But the problem lies in its size. Its little bit heavy and may take time to open.

But if you think that calculating these formulas again and again is more boring than the above 3 limitations, download the software by visiting HtVS(or Right Click and select Save Target As).Enter your observed and predicted data in the fields under the column Observed and Predicted.Click Decide button to get the result The result will be given by the last value of the bold titled columns.

How to use ELECTRE to solve water and energy management problems ?

ELECTRE is widely used to solve problems from water and energy management. This tutorial shows how to work with ELECTRE method such that the readers can use this method to solve water related decision making problems. ELECTRE  is an outranking method where options outranked each other and the best option remains. Here both concordance and discordance index was used to find the outranking criteria. For application of ELECTRE in Water Resource Management you may refer to the following publications : Raju, K.S., Duckstein, L. & Arondel, C. Multicriterion Analysis for Sustainable Water Resources Planning: A Case Study in Spain. 150 hydrology software manuals

Hydrologic Software from U.S. Army Corps of Engineers are very popular among all the scientists and scholars researching in the field of hydrology modeling. Many new software were also developed based on these Hydrology Engineering Center(HEC) made software models.Surface Water Modeling system provides graphical interfaces to HEC1,HECHMS and HECRAS models. MIKE-SHE also use the basic software framework of HEC to develop their own sophisticated software. In most of the courses regarding hydrology modeling these software were invariably taught due to their wide acceptance through out the world. As usual most of these software are not very easy to learn. You will need either a thorough manual describe the step by step procedure to solve prediction problems or an expert instructor to learn the simulation tools in detail. That is why HydroWeb has compiled a DVD featuring the detail manuals of all the software produced by HEC. The DVD contains 150...
